A New Chapter in Lompoc's Flower Seed Story
Long before our first backyard harvest, Lompoc, California, was celebrated as the Flower Seed Capital of the World. Starting in the early 1900s, growers throughout the Lompoc Valley cultivated flower fields and harvested seeds for sale far beyond California. Commercial seed production later declined, but the city's flower-growing history remains part of its identity. Read more at Explore Lompoc's flower fields and history.
Today, DaLegendary1 is creating a new, small-batch chapter of that story. The first planned seeds come from pink-flowering Four O’Clock plants (Mirabilis jalapa) that became established naturally in a Lompoc backyard. The seeds are hand harvested, sorted, and tested with care.
